More and more parents are seeking control over the education of their children. A study conducted by the US Education Department of Education estimate that there are currently more than 1-1 million students in home schooling. This 2004 study showed a 29 percent increase, since the last study in 1999. Ian Slatter, a spokesman for the National Center for Home Education, said that the number of home school students sighted in the report should be closer to 2 million. This numbers indicate a massive growth in the home schooling industry.
