The Bureau of Labor Statistics compiled the 2010 job's projection, and the report stated that the fastest growth rate would occur in occupations that require a postseason education such as a vocational certificate, or an associate degree. Most new jobs, the report concludes will be created in occupations that require only work-related training (on-the-job training or work experience in a related occupation), even though these occupations are projected to grow more slowly, on average. These occupations will account for about 7 out of 10 jobs in the future. Long-term employment is no longer an option in a service driven economy. The new workplace reality is that the traditional concept of a job for life is fast becoming a thing of the past, as part-time and temporary work is the norm. There will be very few long-term or permanent career opportunities.
