Student Assistance Programs
One of the most difficult problems a new charter school faces is how to attract new students while maintaining existing ones. We assist our member schools with recruitment by maintaining a team of student enrollment councilors. These entrepreneurial students’ enrollment councilors, recruit year around. They also conduct parent and guardian workshop on the advantages of attending an entrepreneurship Academy. Enrollment councilors also co-sponsor career option fairs and conduct open house at the Academy for students in the lower grades. They also provide public information and place ads in local publications for parents that want an entrepreneurial focused education for their children. An Active student recruitment program can make the different between the success and failure of a new charter school. Enrollment assistance is one of the major advantages of owing a NuAmerican Entrepreneurship Academy.
Business Apprenticeship
Our enrollment councilors also assist the Academy’s with their Business Apprenticeship Programs. This is an on-the-job entrepreneurship-training program conducted with local businesses, during the summer vacation periods. Many of our upper grade students are place in businesses for which they have a career interest. This will provide them with valuable first hand knowledge of the actual business world. Our Business Apprenticeship Program is an optional service and is not used by all schools that join our network.
